If you’re looking for adventure, you’re in the right place! The region spans over 10,000 sq. kilometers—roughly the size of Prince Edward Island—and it’s only a couple of hours from Edmonton, Alberta. It has hundreds of lakes, rivers, and trails to explore. Visitors can even drive to some of Alberta’s best rural lakes such as Lesser Slave Lake, Fawcett Lake, Lawrence Lake, and Cross Lake.
